Well, happy Fall everyone! I actually love this time of year. Yeah, at first I'm always a bit sad that summer is over and that means another ridiculous Chicago winter is coming, but then I begin to smell that beautiful Fall smell and I realize how much I really enjoy about the season. Top things to do in the fall- bake chocolate chip pumpkin bread then consume every loaf for the next few days, watch Dr. Quinn with Lauren and then listen to Becca asking us why we never watch her shows, (I'll tell you why- because her shows always involve watching some dude eat the most repulsive things like moose eyes or sloth toenails or fish that's been rotting for 45 years, and then he has the audacity to tell the viewers its some kind of delicacy! No thank you. I'll stick with Dr.Quinn and pumpkin bread) rake leaves and jump in them. Actually ok nix that last one cause have you actually tried that recently?
After I posted on twitter about God's promises and getting discouraged in the waiting process, I read over your comments and I realized a lot of us are struggling with the same thing. Something we can call “ The Process of Promises” (Thank you Kris Vallotton for that awesome sermon title! )
All I know is it’s longer then what I’d ever thought it could be from promise to fulfillment. I have had my days...okay weeks, of being so burdened and feeling forgotten and just down right sad and constantly asking God the question... ‘What in the world could be taking so long? Have I done something wrong? Have You forgotten me?”
Somedays I feel like I can’t take another step of faith, and some days I just want to forget about it all. I have even pondered the thought that life was easier before the promise, I should just give up on it and live a “normal” life. But what is normal really, when we follow Christ?
Sup everybody! And if you're old and reading this and wondering what "sup" means, it means "what's up." or "what is up" but I'm trying to be cool so I say "sup" like the rest of the cool kiddo's so I can remain youthful.
Today was so fun. The girls, Beka and I got to hang out with our good friends in Stellar Kart and their whole posse today. They had a day off in Chicago so they came out to our place. It was awesome seeing them. Pretty much love those guys...
