I find it so interesting how I can be so critical of myself and how others can also. I really like the example that Jesus gives to us...Isaiah says that He wasnt much to look at...He was afflicted, rejected, criticized, etc. And yet that didn't cause Him to waver in any way. John tells us that Jesus knew who He was, where He had come from, and where He was going, and that knowledge kept Him focused on what His purpose was. I think this is key for any of us who struggle with feelings of inadequacy when it comes to ourselves and whether or not we think that God can use us to accomplish His will. Knowing who we are (His), where we come from (He formed us in our mother's womb and prepared good works for us to do), and where we are headed (Heaven) will help keep us eternally minded and not focused so much on the natural.
