David's Powerful Message To Everyone

First, thanks to everyone who shared a "Message to Mom" with us. Here's one more...

Dear Mom,
I think the last time I wrote to you or made something for you on Mother's Day, I was in the 4th grade. It was a poorly made cardboard card with crayon, glue and macaroni that said I love you Mom. Its rather cruel how hind sight is so clear, because in the present, my thoughts are always clouded and jumbled. I never have the right words to say, so I have always stayed silent and kept putting these kinds of things off. But I have found a poem that will hopefully describe how important you are to me and how just how sacred the calling of a mother is in this world today.

Your Life Will Be My Gain

Given me on loan my son, for a brief earthly span,
To bear, to love, and nourish. Baby, then boy to man.
Remembered tender moments, after I gave you birth,
In God's miracle we shared. I pondered this child's worth.
What would life store for him, this babe so pure and sweet?

Suelen's Thanks to Mom!

Well, this week I completed my 15 years. My mother did a wonderful party for me. At the party, I had a surprise for her. Thanking all she ever did for me. I tried to make a great speech, and failed. I started crying even before the second sentence. So ... maybe I can tell her here, all I wanted to say there.

My mother, my friend, my companion. Mom ... I have no words to thank all you did to me, until today. And I said it. I know, I worry much when he was criança.Eu was very Boente, you always cared. Mother, I thank God very much for giving me to you. That He created you to be my mother. God knew everything, was always in charge of everything and created you to be mine, and I to be his. And if today you proud of me, it was you who taught me to be so. If I am what I am is God who gave me wisdom to create so he who helped you in difficult times. Thank God, thank you. I love you mom. Congratulations on your day.

Bri's Prayer About "Mom"

Lord,
What makes a good person? Is it how many times a day they pray? Is it how long they wait to get married? Is it how they treat others? Or is it simply being a person who loves without limits? Honestly, I don't know if it is one, two, all or none of the above. What I do know is that I have lived 23 years in the presence of an angel, my mom. She has not fought in any war. She has never scored the winning run in a baseball game. She has never even been around the world. But to one person, me, she is extraordiniary. Just another person living, breathing, and trying to do things right. A simple girl working a 9 to 5 job with a kid who never really made it easy for her. I grew out of my terrible teens
