I first heard Barlow Girl about three years ago, about the time these three incredibly talented young ladies were releasing their album, Another Journal Entry. I must be honest, for about two years after that I really didn't give them much thought. But the Lord does indeed work in mysterious ways. About two months ago, I was just flipping through the CBD ordering magazine and my eyes fell once again upon this anointed sister trio. What I felt pass through my entire body was a sensation I have never felt before; it was like a tremendous surge of pure spiritual energy reverberated inside me, like I had been struck by a bolt of lightning. After that feeling, I determined that there was something different about these three ladies, something that made them stand out just like colored lights on a Christmas tree. I currently own all of their albums but one, which I will be receiving for my birthday. I now know beyond any doubt why Barlow Girl is so different: their mission statement says it all, "We are all about purity, modesty, and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ." These young ladies have taken a very bold step for their age, and I respect them immensely for it. They are truly very bright lights to lost women in a very dark world infested with sin. I tip my hat to you, Barlow sisters. Please keep fighting the good fight for the souls of today's young women. The Christian Gentleman applauds you for your service to the King of Kings.
Hello, ladies. My name is Paul, but most people know me as The Christian Gentleman. I am a firm believer in respecting all women and helping them to become the truly beautiful ladies of God that He has called them to be. I'm curious if any of you ladies have ever heard stories when you were children about the legendary knight in shining armor. This man was the ultimate gentleman. He practiced myriad acts of kindness toward the women of his kingdom, such as opening doors for them, helping them be seated at the banquet table, throwing his cloak over a deep mud puddle so that they could walk across it without dirtying their lovely feet. He also braved many perils in order to save any woman who was in distress. Suffice it to say that I have done many studies on this man, and I am currently trying to bring about the rebirth of true chivalry in this country. I firmly hold to my personal convictions that all women should be shown such acts of kindness by every man.
I am a small town girl with big aspirations. I grew up in a Christian home with one parent saved and one not until recently but I never really understood what it meant to live my life devoted to Christ. Six years ago, I met the most amazing man God has ever blessed me with and not only did he become my husband but also my hero. Our first conversation was about music and we found out that we listened to the same radio station here in Michigan. After a couple of conversations he handed me one of your CDs and I've been hooked every since.
I use all of your music as an anthem to my walk with Christ. In the last few years, especially the last few months, I have grown to love my Lord and Savior and to "fight" for my walk with Him. Your song, One More Round, has been my theme song against all obstacles and temptations Satan has thrown my way but because of the grace of God my faith has not faltered. I know I have never won a battle on my own so Satan can take me one more round.
I first heard Barlow Girl when I was about 12. It was totally a God send, because my family was going through a really rough time with my older sister and I heard the song, "She Walked Away" and it immediately stirred hope up in the midst of a negative situation. Hope that things would get better and that we needed to embrace the my sister and love her despite mistakes or hurts that were deeply buried within. Music is powerful.
