My name is John Paul Jackson. Born to Mark and Susie Jackson of Denver, Colorado, it was my unfortunate fate to begin life with cerebral palsy. I had a level III ventricular bleed which caused damage to the central nervous system. This damage caused me to have blurry vision along with malfunctioning lungs. One-third of my right lung had to be removed which at the time was replaced with sixteen chest tubes. A machine breathed two hundred breaths a minute for me.
Returning home from the hospital, I went straight into physical therapy to learn how to crawl and eventually to walk. Because I was a poor eater, my mom and help from many doctors came up with foods I would eat. Rice, bacon, gravy, peanut butter, and oatmeal were the staples of my existence. A strange combination but that food gave me the strength I needed.

Bible Museum tour summer 2012
From 2008 to 2012 I have had the privilege and honor of traveling to Perth Western Australia and London England. These two trips to the other side of the world were very powerful and insightful. In Perth Western Australia I worked as a manager for a basketball team and was a youth intern at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. While I lived in Perth I made friends that helped shape me into who I am today. In 2010 I went to London England over spring break. While I was there I met up with my neighbor Allison Kaye Parker who is the mother of one of my closest and dearest Australian mates. When I met up with her in London that was the highlight of my trip because, I have not seen her in two years. Those two trips were very life changing and insightful but the Bible Museum tour of 2012 was the trip that changed my life forever. This trip made me feel ecstatic about my faith and the Bible.

It's been a long time since I wrote a blog I think it's almost been a year and a half. So for those who read my blogs and get encouragement from I'm sorry for leaving you hanging, I've just been on a writing hiatus I guess you could say. It's been very hard for me to come up with something inspirational and uplifting but I think I just found one, or at least I hope. After you read this blog you might jump to some crazy conclusions like he's gone crazy, or he doesn't know what he's talking about, or he's gone off the deep end and becoming very judgmental. I assure you I'm not being judgmental and not the judging type but I have learned a few things that might help couples. Now I know what you're thinking this guy is trying to help couples and he's single this is weird! Yes I know this sounds weird because I'm single but during this time of being single I have learned a lot about relationships, love and marriage. I will put out what I have learned and hope it helps.

This story begins in a large, beautiful forest that has humongous trees as far as the eye can see and beautiful mountains that were bigger than any mountain I have seen. This forest has crystal clear ponds and rivers that when you looked into these waters you could see your reflection. A lot of animals live in this forest and they could talk to each other as I'm talking to you right now. They had voices of their own and they all shared the forest there was no quarreling amongst them. But if there were they knew the king of the forest would banish them.
The King of the Forest was no animal nor was he human; the King was dressed in a fine robe with eyes that were as blue as the sky. When the King spoke everyone listened intently. His voice was like the sound of the ocean waves roaring splashing against rocks. This king had a kind and gentle heart for all of the animals and he has a heart for those who asked if they can come and live in the forest with him and the animals.

Have you ever felt weak, depressed and lonely? Have you ever felt everyone's left you and went about his or her own way? Have you ever felt that God has abandoned you? Have you ever felt like there was no hope? Jesus did in fact in all of the four Gospels Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John we see the loneliness in the garden of Gethsemane we see Jesus in one of the Gospels shed tears of blood and an angel even comforting him and giving him strength. When Jesus was in the garden he prayed Lord take this cup from me not my will but your will be done. And then Jesus gets arrested, put on trial then later crucified for absolutely nothing. And hearing all of this his disciples those who call him Master and those he called friends had left him they all fled! He was beaten, mocked and nailed to a cross in front of everyone in Jerusalem. Even as I'm writing this I ask myself this do I know what Jesus went through, did he go through what I go through most of my Christian life?

Love, what is it? Is it physical, emotional, mental and spiritual? I don’t know because someone has never loved me before other than my family so I really don’t know. I’ve never been a relationship with a woman because they won’t give me a shot but that’s okay. Even though I’ve never been a relationship with a woman I know the three most important things a woman needs and a Christ centered relationship or marriage. When I found this out I was amazed because I thought I knew women and I knew their feelings. It turns out that they are wired completely different than men are, so men or boys this blog is for you.
