I heard about BarlowGirl through some of my friends at Youth Group. I bought one of their cd's a few years ago, and thought they were really good. I really love this new CD, especially. The content is amazing, and so uplifting.
If you're like me and didn't find out about BarlowGirl's hidden song until just recently and you can't figure out how to get it, then this is for you!!
You can listen to "Image" for free if you go to: http://listen.grooveshark.com/#/song/Image/12331013. I think the song starts playing by itself, but if it doesn't there's a button that says "Play Song" that you can click. :)
Here's a site that has the lyrics: http://www.lyricstime.com/barlow-girl-image-of-god-lyrics.html
I was Born-again a few years ago after spending the majority of my life (53 years to be exact) lost in the world.
At that point in my life I was in jail for doing some really stupid stuff.
I needed direction and decided to go to the weekly Bible Study provided by a local church to the inmates at the jail.
It was there that God found me FINALLY ready to listen.
When God opened my eyes, it was the most amazing thing that ever happened to me.
I know now that all my life had prepared me for that encounter with my maker and my redeemer.
Even the judge saw a change in me I guess because I was only given 3 1/2 years probation on what ciuld have sent me away for 46 1/2 years at full punishment.
And it couldn't have come at a better time in my life either because about 2 years later I was diagnosed with cancer.
It was my faith in my Lord and His strength in me that got me through those days.
He showed me that no matter how it all turned out, it was in His plan.
My youth leader gave me the 'How can we be Silent' CD two years ago, and no music has ever impacted my life as much as barlowgirl has since. I heard the song 'Here's my Life' for the first time the day before my family and I made a big move a couple years ago. That is my favorite song, and it really helped me through that move and encouraged me to give my life to Jesus, and no matter what trials or difficult times i come in counter with, to GOD be the glory; for He sees the purpose in it all. (This song also applies to me, because my family is missionaries, so 'Hearing the call' really meant a lot to me, because my parents are missionaries because the 'heard the call'.) Thank you, Barlowgirl, for giving me the strength to move on in troubled times.
